Mears Group Plc is celebrating being named as one of the UK’s Best Big Companies to work for.
Now in our fourth year of accreditation, Mears has been recognised for its commitment to workplace excellence with a place on the coveted league table of the Best Big Companies to Work For in Q4 of 2022 - coming 19th overall nationwide, second in Northern Ireland and 8th in London.
The awards were held in London on Thursday 3 November and were attended by David Miles, Chief Executive, together with Claire Gibbard, in her capacity as Employee Director. They were joined by colleagues from across our business who were Amazing People Award Winners or finalists at our Annual Conference, had long service award recognition or had been selected for recognition for their Branches Best Companies results.
A position on the League Tables is an accolade that demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to its employees and demonstrates that workplace engagement is considered a vital part of its success.
The evening was hosted by TV's Dan Walker, who was joined by his Strictly Come Dancing partner, Nadiya Bychova - and tangoed on stage.
Claire Gibbard said: "I was really proud to celebrate Mears' achievement alongside my colleagues at such a fantastic event which is really all about them - the people who make the company such a great place to work."
Gary Jackson, Group Director, Communication and Customer Success, added: Our continued recognition as a Best Company is testament to us putting our colleagues first and working hard to create a great place to work. This year, as a socially responsible employer, we’ve further enhanced our employee value proposition, including wellbeing and strengthening our flexible benefits offering to help address the rise in the cost of living."
