Mears New Homes has been awarded two new contracts to deliver the design and construction of new build housing for affordable rent for YourMK.
YourMK is an innovative joint venture partnership between Milton Keynes Council and Mears Group. The partnership commenced in April 2016 and is designed to deliver the repairs and maintenance service to all council owned properties via Mears Housing division; and to lead on a wide scale regeneration programme, combining both partners expertise and financial resources to deliver this effectively.
The first such development scheme at Kellan Drive, Fishermead, Milton Keynes comprises a single block of nine 2 bedroom flats; and the second scheme at Franklins Croft, Wolverton, Milton Keynes (pictured) comprises is nine houses in three terraces across the site. Both schemes have now commenced on site and are targeted for completion prior to July 2018.
YourMK have a number of other infill and larger development schemes in their pipeline, which our New Homes Division are keen to tender for in order to support YourMK's commitment to demonstrating best value for money.
