Mears Care, who provide home care and support services to over 100 people living in Whitby have just been awarded full marks by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) the body that inspects and regulates care services in England.
In an unannounced, routine inspection the CQC assessed the local team of 23 care workers who provide care services to people of all ages including; care in the home, supported living and helping people get home from hospital. CQC judged the team on five areas; consent to care and treatment, care and welfare of people who use the service, supporting workers, safeguarding and monitoring the quality of service. The CQC awarded Mears with full marks in each of these categories.
The CQC spoke with people who used the service with one person stating; 'I couldn't be happier with them' another person said '"The staff are very good at asking if there is anything else I need".
Hayley Wells, Manager of Mears Whitby said; ''We are delighted that CQC have recognised our hard work, we always strive to deliver a tailored service to each person"
